Cherry met with the Street & Road Cleaning Team Manager last week, to focus on one or two streets in the Ward needing cleansing.

A team of four to five operate once a fortnight in Combe Down, litter picking, street sweeping and there is a response  back up Vehicle for trouble spots reported through Council Connect. I have reported Sedgemoor Road and Dog Mess, as a concern reported to me, and asked for attention to the footpaths and Drungs, especially as Autumn approaches, and leaves collect

From early September there will be a change of scheme, with a team operating in Combe Down each Monday, that could mean one Monday they are in the Village end, or Claverton, and the next Monday the team might be in the Foxhill area.
The Council do not use contractors for weed spraying, Grafitti etc, there is an inhouse team of 12 for the whole LA Area.

In the Autmn there is more intense work on clearing leaves, and the areas around the shops in The Avenue and Bradford Road are done regularly thought the year.
