Curo are progressing their plans for the Mulberry Park Development, as you know the detailed Planning consent was granted for the First Phase in September, which will see the first 275 new homes at Mulberry Park.
Outline plans for the 48-acre site was approved in March 2015, which will deliver 700 new homes overall, community facilities and open spaces.
The homes aim to be of high quality, and energy efficient, 30% of which will be for social rent or shared ownership. The site will also deliver a new primary school and nursery, a community hub, a park and public open spaces. During the development, the local economy will benefit from construction jobs, apprenticeships and training opportunities.
Cllr Cherry Beath continues to highlight the need for workspaces and employment opportunities. She is also working to see a new, more frequent bus route, that will connect local neighbourhoods.
It is estimated the first new homes at Mulberry Park will be available in 2017.
