Local people using the junction of Southstoke Rd, Bradford Road and Entry Hill are calling for a mini roundabout solution to make it safer in view of the number of accidents that occur here. They like the roundabout initiated by Roger Symonds and myself, installed at the top of Ralph Allen Drive, which has been successful, and would like to see the same at this location.

They have set up an on line Petition here, which I encourage you to sign : http://chn.ge/1Q0euvD

I have agitated for action to be taken to address this junction for some time, and in view of the proposed new large developments on the former Foxhill MoD, and Sulis Down, these roads will see greater volumes of traffic. This can only cause more of a problem at this junction. One of the issues is that not all the incidents are reported to the Police, and then do not get recorded on the Council’s statistics. The Council currently have recorded 9 accidents in the last 3 years, but this will be less than the actual numbers.
