Curo is building the first 275 new homes at Mulberry Park and the new roads and infrastructure are already taking shape. The development, on the former Foxhill MOD site in Combe Down, will eventually include 700 homes, a primary school and community facilities alongside a park and woodland walk.

The first phase of the development will include a tree-lined avenue leading from Bradford Road to a new garden square, residential streets and mews terraces.

you might like to know where the name Mulberry Park came from, this was suggested by Bath resident Ken Cookes following an appeal for ideas by Curo. ‘Mulberry’ refers to Mulberry Harbours, temporary harbours designed in Bath by the Admiralty, which were used for the D-Day landings and which many view as one of the greatest engineering achievements of World War II.
Once the ideas have been received, Curo will submit a shortlist of suggestions to B&NES Council for consideration. The Council will take the final decision on street names and Curo will announce the new names during the Summer of 2016.
