Really good to see so many at the Service at Holy Trinity on Friday, and then on the Firs Field, for the laying of Wreaths on the War Memorial.
The Children from Combe Down Primary School took part, and laid crosses. There was a least one young son of a Serving Soldier killed in Afghanistan, and many veterans. The Deputy Mayor laid a Wreath on behalf of the Mayor. Huge thanks to LUrie Levy, The Guards and United Services Association in the organisation, and for putting on soup and rolls at The Hadley, thanks to the pub, and all who supported the event. Father Bill and Paul Kenchington, Vicar of Holy Trinity led the service.
